Sola in the Community

It is our philosophy at Sola that we must participate “on the ground” in our community.

We receive many, many requests for fundraising efforts and we try to say “yes” to as many as we can.

Our programs:

10¢ to Charity

Every time you use any personal mug at Sola, we will give 10¢ to the month’s charitable organization. In 2008 we donated more than $2000 to charity through this program.

When you use a Swap mug at Sola, we DOUBLE the donation to 20¢ per use.
Swap mugs are mugs you never have to wash. You bring it in dirty, we give you a clean one and wash it for the next person to use. Help the planet. Use a Sola Swap Mug!

Other charitable donations:

We donate our percentage of all artwork sold from our galleries to an organization selected by the artists and Sola. In 2009, we donated more than $1500 to charities through this program.

Gallatin Valley Food Bank

We send all leftover items to the Food Bank (link). We also hold fundraisers for the food bank a few times a year, including Thanksgiving Day, when all of the pastry sales proceeds are donated to the Food Bank.

Sponsorship:

• We have sponsored select events, including Huffing for Stuffing (a benefit for the food bank) and the Bozeman Public Library Foundation’s museum pass program. We are supporting members of the Museum of the Rockies, our awesome neighbors.
• Be considered for ten cent program.
• Be considered for a silent auction or other donation. All requests must be in writing and must include: Date of event, name of event, contact person, name, phone, email, what are you asking for? How will it be displayed? How will Sola be acknowledged in your program, posters, ads, etc.?
