Seed Saving Book signing at Sola with Cheryl Moore-GoughSola Café in Bozeman will be hosting Cheryl Moore-Gough on Saturday, December 10 from 2:00 to 3:00. Cheryl will be selling and signing copies of The Complete Guide to Saving Seeds, the most recent book she co-authored with her late husband, “Dr. Bob” Gough. Dr. Gough passed away in September, 2011 after battling cancer for over three years. He was well known for his 9 years as Extension Horticulture Specialist and traveled the state teaching the Montana Master Gardener program. He retired as Associate Dean of Students for the College of Agriculture at MSU. Profits from the sale of the book at this signing will be donated to The Robert E. “Dr. Bob” Gough Memorial Scholarship, being established by the College of Agriculture at Montana State University to benefit students in the College of Agriculture at MSU. The Complete Guide to Saving Seeds includes instructions for saving seeds from 322 vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, trees, and shrubs, and would make a great gift for your gardening friends and family. The book is popular throughout the United States and Canada, and was featured by Martha Stewart in an October seed saving segment of her television show. In addition to being featured, the book was given out to each member of the studio audience. Cheryl is the Technical Editor for Horticulture for Zone 4 magazine, and is a retired Extension Horticulture Specialist. She produces and voices the daily radio program “Northern Gardening Tips” for the Northern News Network, and teaches Vegetable Production at Montana State University.
